A short tour of Goldstream Payroll

From setting up a company to the year-end slips, in seven steps.

Set up your company

Enter the company, its CRA payroll account number and its province. An accounting firm can keep many client companies in one login.

Add the people you pay

Add employees with their pay rate and tax credit details, and contractors who are paid without payroll deductions.

Choose a pay schedule

Pay weekly, every two weeks, twice a month or monthly.

Run payroll

Enter the hours or salary for the period. CPP, CPP2, EI and income tax are worked out for each paycheck, and you review every amount first.

Print paychecks and pay stubs

Each employee gets a clear pay stub showing earnings, deductions and year-to-date totals.

See what you owe CRA

The PD7A report shows the remittance for the period, so you know what to send and when.

Finish the year

Prepare T4 and T4A slips and the file that goes to CRA, checked against the CRA format.

Available for every province and territory except Quebec. You file and remit to CRA yourself; the application prepares the numbers and files.
